27th Delhi Book Fair 2021

The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) organised the second edition of Virtual Delhi Book Fair 2021 from 03 to 05th September 2021 on PragatiE.com platform, co-organized by CAPEXIL (Ministry of Commerce). Various sponsors of the fair included Buy Books India, Cleverfox Publishing, Indian Reprographic Rights Organization (IRRO), Room To Read and many more.

The Delhi Book Fair is being organised for the last 27 years by FIP to promote pioneers of the publishing industry, prominent authors, and top-notch institutions from across the globe. Every year, the exhibition is supported & held at India Trade Promotion Organization, but because of COVID-19, it has been held virtually on PragatiE.com for the last 2 years on a global scale.

Sustainability and Mental Health were the themes of the fair, supported by organisations like TERI, WWF, Mobius Foundation, and Climate Reality supported the themes to make people understand that human existence is only possible if we practise a ‘sustainable lifestyle’ & explore better ‘mental health’ avenues for people of all ages.

Virtual Delhi Book Fair 2021 mesmerised visitors with impeccable planning and an alluring experience. It was filled with launches, contests, selfie booths and several entertaining & engagement elements in a 360-degree virtual fair. The celebrities across diverse fields such as political, social and economic spectrum were present, including Salman Khurshid, Ma Anand Sheela, Sam Pitroda, Nidhi Razdan, Gen. GD Bakshi, Rajdeep Sardesai, Anand Neelkanatan, Shiv Shivakumar, Vineet Malhotra, and Aman Nath were seen sharing screens & helpful insights during the PragatiE Vichaar program.

This year, DBF 2021 brought 25,0000+ visitors, 100 exhibitors, 60000+ titles, and 30+ webinars, making it the largest virtual book fair. People enjoyed live meeting/interacting activities with their favourite authors & publishers and listening to thought-provoking webinars by the industry experts. The fair was an unmissable event for all the book lovers, as it offered technologically advanced live video calls & interactive WhatsApp messenger.
